The farm’s bubble of key workers continues during lockdown, to keep producing all that 100% Manx Ballakelly Farm meats. This week, we moved the sheep to get ready for lambing season, and had help in moving the sheep by Jill Dog, Quinn Dog, and the incredible Elsa the Terrier who now things she’s a sheep dog.

Rachel popped down to the lambing shed to see the team, and has been informed that the big lambie (Rambo) is now a whopping 10.5kgs. Big lambie is snoozing before he goes off to the field to eat grass.

We\'re in the field near Ballasteen to let the lambs and mummies out after some busy days of lambing. Beautiful field and day, despite being overcast. Red colouring marks mean one lamb for the mummy. Blue means twins, so you know if you see the mummy sheep with the blue mark you have to spot two babies. Lots of eating of the lovely green grass.
